Rapidly Moving Pictures

After much scraping together of money to buy FinalCut, learning my way around the program, editing video, cutting audio, fixing incessant crashes, way too much time spend on Apple message boards, exporting, re-exporting, re-re-exporting, building an appropriate host website, researching compressors and other general wailing and gnashing of teeth, I finally have an edit done for the American Hobo (working title) story.

Most of my B-Roll was lost in a robbery so it functions much like a glorified slideshow, but I'm hoping to get back out and round it out this Spring. This is somewhat of a first for me, so feedback is encouraged.

It can be seen in all its hi-res glory here.

First of all, congratulations. I dig it.

Second, what a pity most of your footage was stolen.

I was going to comment things like "the ending needs some more work," or "I want to see more moving pictures again somewhere between those beautiful b&w stills," or that hissing in the audio needs to be fixed... But, since you said you're gonna be on the road again (or rather "on the tracks again"), I prefer to wait and see what you come up with. After all, this is a work in process isn't it?

All the best, my friend!
